(October

Gordy Gundaker ran second in his heat race, but unfortunately drew
a late caution flag in the 30-lap feature and was paid for a fourteenth
place showing. With a $10,000 top prize on the line in Saturday's
finale, Gordy placed fourth in his loaded heat race prior to passing
ten competitors during the 50-lapper en route to a sterling fifth
place performance behind only victor Tony Jackson, Jr., Chris Simpson,

B during the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series
qualifying session prior to finishing a strong third in his $5,000

Max Blair.
The top-four showing on Friday enabled the St. Charles, Missouri
standout to roll off from the outside of the sixth row in the 100-lap
PDC headliner, which was pushed back to the wee hours of Sunday
morning due to inclement weather. Gordy was unfortunately an early
retiree in the $50,000 to win crown jewel feature, as motor woes
