Gundaker
Ventures to West Burlington and Wheatland
(July
12, 2026) The
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned a trio of high-profile
events in the states of Iowa and Missouri from July 9-11. Up first
was a visit to 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on Thursday night
for the annual running of the 'Slocum 50,' which shelled out a $15,000
payday. Gordy Gundaker ran sixth in his stacked heat race prior
to grabbing the fifth transfer spot through his B-Main. After 50
green flag circuits in the main event, Gordy had climbed four positions
to place seventeenth at the checkers.
Over the weekend, the 'CMH Diamond Nationals' was
held at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri.
On Friday evening with a $15,000 top prize on the line, Gordy qualified
well, but narrowly missed out on the 40-lap feature after finishing
seventh in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. In Saturday's
weekend finale that paid $25,000 to the winner, Gordy placed fifth
in his heat race and was leading his B-Main until terminal engine
woes sidelined him for the remainder of the night. Complete results
from all three races can be accessed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

(July
1, 2026) From
June 22-30, the Gordy Gundaker Racing (GGR) team was on the road
with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at five different dirt
ovals in the states of Minnesota and North Dakota. The best run
for Gordy Gundaker came on June 22 at Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie,
Minnesota. Gordy grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his heat
race prior to advancing to place twelfth in the final rundown of
the $12,000 to win main event.
Other finishes during the hectic stretch were a twenty-fourth
on June 26 at River Cities (ND) Speedway, a twenty-fifth on June
28 at Nodak (ND) Speedway, and a thirteenth on June 30 at Norman
County (MN) Raceway. Due to mechanical troubles, Gordy unfortunately
failed to transfer into the A-Main on June 24 at I-94 (MN) Speedway.
Complete results from each race during the World of Outlaws Late
Model Series northern swing can be accessed online at www.woolms.com.

Gundaker
Treks North for Maribel Late Model Showdown
(June
21, 2026) The
Gordy Gundaker Racing (GGR) team headed to 141 Speedway in Maribel,
Wisconsin on June 19-20 for the 'Maribel Late Model Showdown,' which
was sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. After
Friday's $12,000 to win program was washed out during the heat races,
a $25,000 top prize was up for grabs in Saturday's weekend finale.
Gordy Gundaker finished fifth in his heat race, won his B-Main,
and later placed twenty-first in the final finishing order of the
60-lap headliner. Complete results from the rain-shortened weekend
can be accessed online at www.woolms.com.

Gordy Gundaker
has Successful Show-Me 100 Weekend
(May
25, 2026) Gordy
Gundaker Racing invaded Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri
from May 21-24 for the 34th Annual 'Show-Me 100,' which was once
again sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The huge
weekend of racing in the Show-Me State kicked off with a pair of
$10,000 to win preliminary programs. In Thursday's show, Gordy Gundaker
ran second in his heat race and eighteenth in the 45-lap feature.
On Friday evening, Gordy placed fourth in his heat race, second
in his B-Main, and twenty-first in the 40-lap main event.
After Mother Nature spoiled the party on Saturday,
the $75,000 to win 'Show-Me 100' was finally held on Sunday at Lucas
Oil Speedway. Gordy was in a coveted transfer spot in his B-Main
when he was hit hard by another competitor, which dropped him to
fourth in the final finishing order. Fortunately, the St. Charles,
Missouri ace was awarded a high point provisional and rolled off
from the outside of the thirteenth row in the 100-lap crown jewel
headliner. Gordy was then able to steer past ten competitors to
claim a sixteenth place showing in the prestigious 'Show-Me 100.'
